I have pain, which causes me a lot of anxiety and depression. I have been in chronic pain for about 6 years now. I take Oleptro (for of trazodone), Xanax, and Ambien CR for sleep. They don't really do anything for the pain, but help a lot for panic attacks and that *jumping out of my skin* feeling. Sometimes I also take a muscle relaxant to help my arthritis, but it doesn't do much for anxiety, at least for me.
Best thing to do is see a psychiatrist and describe exactly how you're feeling. I used to take Lexapro, which also worked, but I gained weight from it.
My doctor said I could try to control my blood sugar with diet, and if that doesn't work, I have to take the Metformin. I also have to take cholesterol meds, HBP, and thyroid meds.
Let me know how you do.
Cindy
Just a quick note to say hi! I was just recently diagnosed with diabetes--my BS was 150 on a recent blood test. I was just prescribed Metformin. Haven't picked it up yet, but I'm scared. I hate taking new pills too, and I am on plenty for many, many health issues. I have to take cholesterol meds too and I suffer from chronic pain.
How bad is the nausea? I just want to let you know I have the drug anxiety too.
