Hi. Your story almost sounds like mine...except my surgery resulted in a colostomy that was reversed 12 months later and I am minus a rectum as well. I am 5 years to the day August 4th. All is well and I am so glad I did have the surgery as later would have most likely resulted in the colon walls being invaded with the cancer I was spared from. My ordeal today is I have minimal bowel control which keeps me apprehensive and trouble with what foods I love but really can't eat and I can't and my weight is plumetting out of control. I will pray God gives you peace on what you have gone through and just remember...your surgery really wasn't your decision just a part of the Father's plan for your life and you are a testimony to someone else!
