This is exactly what I am faced with at this time! I had the stereotactical large needle biopsy February 17th. I am still sore, bruised and uncomfortable. My surgeon now wants to do the removal of the calcifications with surgery. everything on both sides is benign BUT as a precaution she recommends surgery! She has also recommended tomoxifan due to my family history. Mom died @ 59 w/ breast cancer... sister had breast cancer 6 yrs ago ( insitu), cousin had double mastectomy, aunt on dad's side on and on. I am still in a quandry. I went on vacation last week and told the Dr I would contact her upon my return. I may just venture to Boston to get another opinion. Still feeling like a pin cushion too!
