Hi I have read your post and just want to let you know I have I.C. When I was diagnosed with it 3/12 year ago it was very painful they perscribed Elmiron, It took it for almost a year before I started feeling better. It made me sick to my stomach. I then took the medicine out of the capsule and mixed it with water and that took care of the sickness. The first time I took the medicine I took it for a long period. I was also told to stay away from certain drinks and food. spicey, caffine, and lemon teas were bad for me. I watch what I drink and eat. And when it flares up again I start back on the Elmiron until I feel better. There is quite a bit of information on this via the web, Just google it. I hope things get better for her.
