I wish I had an idiot Dr and not the "go to" guy. At least than I would feel like there was some other avenue to explore, but he knows them all already.

Thanks for the note. It's so hard to see her go through this. She's on topetecan just like my other friend. But she's sick and Miriam isn't. What's with that? (here comes my little girl side) It's just not fair!! Is having blood transfusions normal during chemo? It's scary. Irene

Oh, Jan. I just don't know what to say, to be honest. I am not in your shoes, so how can I understand? To go through the daily pain, tiredness, chemo and all the side effects, you wouldn't be human if you didn't have some really rough days, both physically, mentally and emotionally. Just know that I am here for you, anytime. Take those xanaxs (sp?) and sleep. Sleep is a wonderful, restorative tool and you must surely need that. I will keep you in my prayers for healing in all aspects and sending you a huge cyber hug! (if I knew how to do the symbol, I would!) Love you, Colleen

I can't imagine what that butt pain must feel like. I hope the trial is something you can get involved in. Thanks for the kind words on the journal about not answering posts! I'm doing fine - getting a very clean and organized house being home. Both Mark and I are looking hard for jobs and I heard back on one yesterday to take it to the next step. Now that the new year is here the employers will be responding so I feel pretty positive. I am likely going to do some catering and personal chef stuff on the side and may do some marketing/business development part time consulting until the full time job I want comes around. Our son may be moving back home and we are actually excited about that. Hugs, Trudie

Jan, I hope some sleep has helped your thoughts. I know that this is a terribly personal decision to make but from a selfish point of view (me) I so want you to keep fighting. Hugs, Trudie
