I have had back pain since i was a young adult; after a fairly radical surgery i continued to have pain. Two years ago my back surgeon did MRI's and told me i had Syringomyelia. He really didn't tell me much about it, except that he couldn't do surgery as it would paral
[More]yze me. I've just seen a new physician (as i moved back to Vermont) and he said i had to see a Neurosurgeon and have the syrinx removed immediatly! I'm quite alarmed, scared and confused. I'm really hoping this Forum can help me to calm down and learn more about all this.
