Hi Carolyn- I just read your note today as I have not been coming to the site since my moms passing. It sounds like you and your mom are dealing with this terrible disease also. My mom had fallopian tube cancer, which acts just like ovarian cancer. I realize how you feel right now and want you to know I will be thinking of you and wishing your mom well. I believe she will have a good response to her new chemo combo and you will be able to enjoy much time with her. Just in case, make sure you spend as much time as you can with her and tell her how much you appreciate her. I am sure you are already doing this though. Thank you for the note and be strong. Hi Carolyn!
Actualy I have been out of forum for a while due to my mum condition. Recently she has felt tired and had always a strange pain in the right side of the stomach. After a month in hospital, hundreds of tests, scan and so on they discovered she had mononucleosys and the virus brought infection to her gall badder. So she went though surgery again and it was an easy one but unfortunately cancer returned over her bowel. Not severe presence but surely she will have to start chemo . Sometimes I feel so depressed for all what she is going through but I still have hope that more time passes and more chances our mums have to find a new treatment.
I have talked toooo much! How is your mum? Is new chemo same as before or a stronger one? keep in touch!
hugs. Moira
Aussie000 - After I read your note I realized that the posts are not in chronological order. When I responded I thought that since the question was on the first page it was very recent. Thank you for your note. I feel terrible. I do realize how this disease works as I lost my mom from it 3 days ago. I have been reading posts on this site for 4 years and have received much info from it. I was using it as a form of therapy by trying to help. If I do it again I will definately look for the date of the post. I wish the best for you and anyone else involved with this disease. Teddyboy69
