About Me: Female, Auckland, New Zealand, member since Jun 2012
Diagnosed at the end of March 2012 with Marginal Zone Lymphoma Stage 4 with 28% Bone Marrow Involvement, in April diagnosed with HCV, in May with severe liver fibrosis. Also in May HCV was determined to be genotype 1b with C/T allele. Started Triple tx on 1 Nov 2012, it
[More] became double on 2 Nov due to severe nausea. I restarted Incivek at the end of week 4, UND after 4 weeks on Incivek but will still treat for 48 weeks. I am hoping that by curing HCV, the cancer will cure as well :)
Hey Diana. I still feel like I'm on interferon at times. Right now I'm EOT + 2 weeks. Seems like a long time to still feel that last interferon shot 3 weeks ago. I did read however that some in the medical community have advocated more study of post EOT side-effects which anecdotally can last for quite a while apparently. This is good news for me because that 'interferon feeling' could be the result of a viral rebound also --- the cytokine cascade triggered by viruses. Probabilities suggest that if you are UND at EOT and also after the first 4 weeks, then there is over a 90% probability that you are SVR. Given that you are already SVR(4.5), your odds are even higher. It's a really good sign that you are still UND after not taking meds for as long as you have. Have a great TG!
Just a quick note to say hi!hi diana, thanks for your note. . . Yes feeling a lutyle better, was having hemoglobin usaues again, near the end so now that has improved. I hope you are doing well Diana and I thank you for all your support during my treatment. I know our post treatment milestones will be close so I will be watching your notes and posts.
Best wishes, Shyrl
How r u Diana? Just wanted to say hi. Hope all is well. I'm in the waiting stage ... finished tx. wk 24 was UND, but now I'm starting to not feel so good. Hope I'm not having a rebound, but I will find out in 3 more weeks. n-e-how, let me know how you're doing. Best, Mark
