Barbara, I would also highly recomend you seek professional counseling. Seeking help is the best thing you could do. You need to put yourself first. As a survivor from bulimia getting proffessional counseling was the best thing I ever did. I also had anorexia at 13 & then it turned into bulimia which I had until I was about 24 yrs old. I am now 41 & Life is wonderful. The road to recovery was very long. Getting help was the only choice I had or I was going to die. You hang in there & get help.
Just a quick note to say hi!
You're in my thoughts all the time, but especially today.
Hi Barbara,
I am so sorry to hear you are still struggling with bulimia. I suffered this eating disorder for many years. Thru therapy & counseling I recovered. The road was very long. I litteraly had to join a Center that teaches you that yes you can enjoy food & have normal meals & you can still look wonderful. I had forgotten how to eat. One day I woke up & made a choice that I wanted to start living & enjoy life. The world is beautiful. Bulimia nearly killled me. I lost several teeth & have to wear a partial that holds at least 6 teeth in the front of my mouth. This eating disorder will wreck your health. I wish you the best. I hope you are getting counseling.
