I noticed you mentioned you are being treated for GM at Stanford. I was just diagnosed and am being treated at UCSF in San Francisco -- seeing Dr. Gross (Rheumatology) and Dr. Esserman (breast surgeon). I just started methotrexate this weekend . . . I have been on prednisone for about a month. My doctor wants me to take methotrexate for 2 years at 20mgs. That seems really high to me and I am thinking of getting a second opinion at Stanford. Do you mind me asking who you are seeing there? Anyway, I hope you are doing okay and are getting good care. UCSF has been good . . . it is just that the dosage and the length of time really scare me.
