I have an idea of what's going on with the VCD. It is most likely caused by acidic gases in the stomach that CONSTANTLY backflows to the throat/vocal cord valve and blocking the airway. It also causes choking and occurs more often during nighttime. (It will awake the person at least 2-3 times per night with the choking feeling)
My VCD is always preceded by a cold / congestion. I will have the cold / congestion for a day or so then it moves into VCD. I will suffer for a day or so never knowing when I won't be able to breathe, then all of a sudden it is gone. It leaves that quick and I'm back to normal.
I also have the problem of shortness of breath; I try to yawn and sigh constantly to get the blood flowing through to my brain; otherwise I feel like I am not getting any oxygen..It makes me extremely anxious and unconfortable, and happens on a daily basis (especially on the train)...I see you have told others to call the LUNG line, which I will try tomorrow morning...Do you think taking gingo biloba will help me at all? It is supposed to increase the blood flow throughout ones body so I thought it can also help the blood travel more effectively to the brain and it won't be necessary for me to go through this agonozing problem? I hope to death the LUNg line helps me: this contant pressure has become impossible to fathom and deal with =(
Thank you so much, dear concerned lady
