I think the best incentive to quit is to allow the person to feel the negative effects such as the extreme depression of withdrawal, being penniless, losing all posessions, losing all or most of their friends, maybe even freedom, such as being arrested,(God forbid) Unfortunately, most people wont quit until they hit rock bottom and lose everything dear to them. Perhaps making them think it has already happened and then be there when they are ready to give it up without enabling them will work. I empathize with you. Good luck to you and may God help you.
