I was diagnosed with Hep C i
[More]n 1997 @ a VA hospital. I have treated twice, once in 2004, and again about a year ago with a study drug: sch 503034 (an inhibitor), plus the standard combo. The virus was undetectable at about week 6-7 and remained so for the full TX, unfortunately however I relapsed shortly after the completion of the study ( ~ 8 months). Perhaps a longer duration would have been more effective - who knows! Ready to go again and considering the options....perhaps maintenance, just really uncertain right now.
Well, thats my Hep situation but 'that's not me'!! Me: I enjoy the outdoors and love to hike and backpack; I have grown children (all boys); enjoy cooking and of course, have a healthy appreciation for the 'fruits of my labor' :)
Just a quick note to say hi! My husband has Hep C and is now considering the treatment. While you had the treatment did you fulfill a full time job ok or were the side effects too much for you to work?
Thx in advance
Wanting you to know how much I appreciate you and your concern! I have not been on for over two weeks.... had some rough spots... I posted a thread to explain. I love your saying "I have Hep but It doesn't have me".. I certainly haven't let it define me. Although I felt the treatment almost killed me(lol) .. somehow we just move along, heh? Stay strong... (by the way notice you cook... maybe you can private message me a few of your favorite recipes.) I hope the very best for you in fighting this virus...
