Hi There,
I have a story very similar to yours. I am far worse off after this surgery and now I have severe pain in my top joint (IP joint). If you are still on this site, please let me know by emailing lisa.***@****. Thanks. Lisa
Tonice - I think it's time for you to get a second opinion, I had my surgery Sept. 26 and was able to put a sneaker on at about 2 1/2 weeks I had the hemi implant with the bunion removal - don't misunderstand it's still painful, stiff, swollen and burns but I actually was able to wear a shoe at about 3 weeks- for a while, and I really don't have trouble walking. I am hopeful that it will improve over time and I try not to baby it but your doctor doesn't seem to care- your surgery was a long time ago! you should be having some relief by now. Let us know how you're doing.
Jane
Just a quick note to say hi!
I don't know if it has been FDA approved but I think so. My doctor treats a professional hockey team. Nevertheless, I'm not doing well at all. I played golf yesterday, the first 18 holes since my surgery, Aug 5. I was in extreme pain by the fourth hole but kept playing--my limp became a joke because I still beat everyone, bad toe and all. I have a dr's appt on Tuesday--last time he put on some meds to relieve the numbness--it's not working---the toe gets very stiff, swollen and feels like it's on fire--now both of my feet hurt all the time because of the way I walk--just don't know what to do. Hope you feel better. Michael

Thanks for the note. I'don't know about the FDA approval but it should be easy to look up on the net.
Have a good day.
