About Me: Female, 38, Burton, MI, member since Dec 2007
Married with children, need I say more? :)
I've been married almost 1
...
[More]5 years and have 3 wonderful snotty, mouthy, life draining, lovable, HYPER children, ages 13, 10 and 7. Two of my children are autistic and require a great deal of attention.
My baby girl has a clinical diagnosis of Angelman syndrome and I am always happy to talk to other parents who are in the same boat as I am. We do not have a straight forward diagnosis yet as the genetic tests keep coming back normal. We have been searching for answers for almost 8 years.
Having disabled children changes your life, it doesn't ruin it. Smile, Laugh, Live and Love....and ask for one more day...everyday. Be thankful for what you do have, and what you don't have. Remember things could always be better, but they also could be worse. Welcome to Holland my friend....(If you don't know what that means, ask me--I'll share.)
I had spine surgery in May 2004, and was diagnosed with Firbor a few months ago. I deal with chronic back pain and have many more herniated discs.
Don't let your friends fade into the dark, no matter how strong you think you are. We need them to travel through the roads of life, that's why we have highways. (And to all my friends, make sure to bring along the GPS--We are definitely going to need it LOL)
