Just a quick note to say hi!
I had a total knee replacement in Nov. 2006 and I suffered quite severe pain for approx three months after the op.
However, I persevered with the physiotherapy and analgesics and slowly the pain eased and has now disappeared completely. I sometimes get the "patella clunk" but it doesn't hurt! I can now bend my "new knee" just as well as my good knee. I still find it a little difficult to kneel on the new knee, though.
The reason that I mention this to you is that "Time does make all the difference". Most of all, do try and make an effort to walk without limping......it really is quite important that you do this. And persevere with your personal excercises- and plenty of swimming, but avoid the breast stroke for at least six months.
I wish you well
