I think you should do a little research on Chiari Malformation Type I. I just visited my new neurologist who thinks I have it and I think you have very similar symptoms, etc.

I have replied to your new post yesterday. A pain remaining for soooooooooo long, can maintain itself and the mechanism is different (Chronic Pain), the 'pain wiring' misbehaves. You have to break the 'cycles'
