Just wondering how appt went last week with cardio.
Please let me know what your cardio says.... I've been having what I thought was palpitations all my life also but they seem to be getting stronger and longer. That's why I mentioned these to my doctor. They lasted one day from around 3 in the afternoon until sometime in the night when I went to sleep. I had drank reg tea all day off and on and did not know it was reg. When I woke up the next morning - I was still having slight ones and have had ever since. That has been about a month ago. Good luck with your doctor - I hope all goes well. Are you on any meds?
My internist ordered the tests on my March visit. I don't have a cardio and hesitate to go to one because one size fits all with them it seems - almost same meds for everyone. I told my dr I'd had been feeling the skipping beats and at times I feel short of breath - that's when she wanted tests. My friend explained that on an EKG there are little up arrows but when my heart beats like it does, there are some down arrows. When the down arrows continue for quite some time, that is bad news...and she said I should call 911 or get to dr right away. She told me my heart is not skipping but extra beat and the blood is not going through - causing extra beat. She said caffeine can do this. Hope this does not scare you
Thanks for your reply. When the doctor's office called me, the nurse, she acted like it was nothing to be concerned about. I have an appt with doctor in July and yes, I will have a lot of questions. I was in the emergency room about 5 years ago with the same thing - no concern then either. I've been ok since then but limited my caffeine but had more recently. I have a friend who is a RN and she told me this could be very serious. Stress seems to be the big thing with doctors now days and they don't want to deal with the real problem. I take Synthroid for my thyroid and I've also read where this could be my problem. I'm not a doctor and don't want to self diagnose but I have an appt with endo doctor in July also and I'm going to ask for my med to be changed.. We'll see what happens.
