I enjoy working on home improvement projects, landscape projects, organic gardening, taking care of my six rescued cats and one dog (tho' she rescued me). They are my greeting committee when I come home and comfort and joy during quiet times.
I have experienced a lifetime of depression, anxiety and insomnia...and I keep on ticking due to when I get to workout on a regular basis. I do really well when I can get my high-level cardio workouts in, a grueling mtn bike ride up the mountain and down the mountain, preferably on single-track. Trail jogging works just the same for me...once I can get in the outback of the forest and be with the nature of its ways, I am at peace. But, once I am back in the work grind, around traffic, and working with people I do not communicate too well with, my stress level, anxiety and self-doubts rise dramatically.
