I am English living in France with my husband [french] and 3 boys 15, 20 and 22. It all started early this year, when my youngest had 2 sudden blackouts. Hospitilised both times. He had very obvious Early Repolarisation in his ECG with bradycardia. Because of 4
[More] members in my family died of 'heart attack'!!!! between the ages of 35 and 57. He was investigated further.
Drugs challange was done it ruled out Brugada.. My EP saw something in it and and told me he would need a defibrilator. But then he discussed it with 2 other cardios [protocol here] and decided to implant a REVEAL recorder instead.
My middle son also has ERS and bradycarda in his ECG. He had a drugs challenge... and he will be 'watched' in the future, He is very athletic.
My oldest son also has ERS and bradycardia, he is waiting to see my EP [out of the country when this started] So instead has been seen by a local cardio he did an echo and he saw a BAV 1 which I think means first degree heart block.... so he will have a 24 hour holter next week.... meanwhile he is waiting an appt with my EP.
