I am a mom of a 16year old with gastroparesis. She probably had it all her life...but the flu that hit her in Nov 09 derailed her system so completely she had to drop out of school. She lost so much weight. Weak, Pain, etc..... It took doctors 4 or 5 months to diagnose gastroparesis. ( she has a heart problem now too. They think that will get better the longer she can eat) We found out from Johns Hopkins that Accupunture is what they try first. We are in Pgh...so we started in May. She began feeling better within 3 sessions. She began digesting everthing but steak about 3 weeks in ( twice a week---six sessions) I would like to post this on a general blog for other sufferers. Feel free to do so if you know of any. If you are considering accupunture - please give it a chance.
