Hi. I came across your postings from 2008 when your son was 5 and your 2010 postings when he was 7. I have a 3 1/2 yr old that pretty much matches exactly the description you gave of your son in the first posting. My son is bright, able to learn letters, colors, numbers, etc., and loves to be around other kids, but is delayed in speech both receptively and expressively. His doctors, therapist and teachers don't think it's autism, and say give it time...but it's so hard to just wait and see. I feel I should be doing more. Now that your son is older (11?), how is he doing? I very much hope he overcame his speech delay and other concerns. Any info you can share would be so appreciated. I am totally in your shoes....just a few years behind....
Hi... thank you so much for sharing your experience with me and giving me your opinion which is very valuable to me. I really appreciate you took part of your time to give me your input about this hard discussing topic. Thanks again and enjoy the Summer! :)
