my main irritting and debilating symptom is excessive bloating and gas trouble..all other symtoms like somnolence and mental fogging vanishes compeltly..as well leg pain and fatigue only occurs now associated with bloating and gas. otherwise I can now do routine homeworks…
My questions are
1.Is this dose ok or should I decerase it ( but even dose of 100 causes me to not feeling well I have tried , I feel well with 150 only… ) or should add T3 ( cytomel - - and if yes how much.? ) to get relief from symptoms as I cannot do job along with these symptoms..?
2.When all symptoms will permanently go away?
3. Do all these symptoms suggest only hypothyroidism or any other investigation require to rule out any other disease ?
I have already taken it for 6 months but again TSH done & it was 4.4..My endocrinologist increase the dose to 50 microgram..even after 19 days of 50thyronorm symptoms are minimally relived.. i have retested TSH on 17/07/2013 which is - 2.2 ( ref range 0.3-4.94 ) . free T3 - 2.75 ( ref range 1.71 -3.71 ), Free T4 - 1.1 ( ref range 0.7- 1.48 )..
After 15 days trial of 75 thyronorm and no completerelief of symptoms I increase dose to 150 then last lab results on 21/09/2013 were were TSH -0.05 ( lower) ,free T3 -3.9 (high) , free T4 -1.79.. (high)…
TPO antibodies -1.07 ( normal refrance range <5.61)
. I was not able to do routine work neither I could do my job. So I took leave for 2 motnhs..
I started 25 microgram thyronorm. By the time of 2 months of treatment, I started feeling relief of symptoms gradually..I started daily exercise of 4 km walking and I loose 3.5 kg weight in 3 months. This healthy state persists for 2 and half months. Meanwhile TSH level for follow up was 3.9
But again I develop same symptoms since last one month in spite of taking thyronorm 25. I am again not able to do routine works without fatigue and leg pain as well constipation continues
I m myself a gynecologist, 29 yrs female... since last 1and half year I started gaining weight approx 15 kg.. along with that on and off I was having easy fatigue, anxiety, leg pain, backache, bloating ,constipation and tremors.. I do my thyroid test : TSH WAS 5.5., T3 and T4 were in normal range but on the lower side of reference range.
