Thank you for everything! This was my first time posting and you answered! I have seen the neurologist and pain management and have an appointment coming up soon with the neurosurgeon to discuss the surgery details and get it scheduled. The neurologist told me it would be a frontal approach with fusion and plates. I also have many other health issues the main being heart issues, my GP told me to make out my will and get my affairs in order before I have this surgery. I have been putting it off for 5 years and now have permanent nerve damage. Not helping my fears but I like doctors that are honest and my ability to do much of anything is very limited now and the pain is non stop so I have no choice. Thank you so much for writing!

I am Disguted with US Insurance playing doctor and having a negative effect on the quality of life. I am now 4 years pain free and it will not change . complain to Obama I am serious stop insurance companies playing Doctor . YOu can come to Canada and have tha surgery for under $2000 plus hospital Charges .We now allow Private surgery . on a no wait basis . THe pain of botched C spine surgery is not an Option I Pray you have No pain Peter

Dear Proud48, we are small and isolated voices but I hope that one day we will be strong enough for all these sufferings to be taken into account by medical and pharma research. I am sad to recognize that today all people suffering from after treatment are really neglected by medical authorities. Dear proud48, I was absent a long time from this forum due to personnal activities. I wish you a really happy new year 2010. I think we have all the same dream and we would give so much to make it become true. From the last time, I have no new tracks. My wife took some granules of micronutrients to reinforce her immune defense, but it is too early to observe an improvement.Moreover, they are not already sold on the market. She will try also soon Q10 in gels, because she has a very low blood pressure (8-9) that impairs a lot her energy. For the others symptoms, no new treatment that I could have heared about. Sorry not to give you better news, we are in a quiet period and I do not have read novelties in this area. But when I get some, I will share with all of you. Blessings, Melvil
