My Peripheral Neuropathy was diagonosed about 12 years ago. It has gotten alot worse and I would consider it severe. Last year my MRI showed a large tumor 9" x 4" on my ovary which we thought might be causing it. But no such luck. Now, I am back to square one. Have
[More] numbness in both feet and can no longer drive. Neurosurgeon said, no surgery is necessary at this time not that I really want it. Have an appointment coming up with Neurologist. Would like her to check for Peripheral Artery Disease and see if they are connected. Have a list of other issues but I can deal with those. Fibromyalgia, Restless Leg Syndrome, Spinal Stenosis, Sleep Apnea along with sciatica and tons of arthritus. Can deal with the pain, it's the numbness and not being able to drive that is very worrisome. I volunteer and co-chair fundraising for two major events in my community. Now that is going to be a difficult challenge for me to get where I need to be. I've read about hand controls and spoken to a few people. But I just do not have the funds to pay for them and to be truthful they scare me a bit. Have another appt on Friday for an epidural steriod injection. I am wondering if this will help with numbness or is it just pain relief that I will receive. Had Fluroscopy treaments at pain center for 3 years about 10 years ago. Gained 65 lbs from those treatments which was a bummmer. As I could never even gain 5 lbs before that. Last visit, my muscle pushed the needle back out .My doctor was from N.E. Baptist in Boston and never saw anything quite like it. My MRI is moderate to severe. I do have some suggestions that I'd like to share with some of your patients as I have been dealing with different levels of pain for over 40 years now. Some are simple inexpensive solutions. I don't usually talk about any of this but I think it is time to discuss with someone that is in the same situation, knowledgeable in this field and what solutions might be out there for me. Thanks for listening. Rainie868
