[More]imen of cardio training from running to biking and swimming. I also strength trained at a fairly high level for many years to help maintain range of motion. After my first shoulder replacement in 2008 I had to change my mode of strength training. I now use a Bowflex machine instead of free weights. The resistance is graduated and also doctor recommended for people with serious joint problems. My own experience is that joint replacements can pave the way to a much more enjoyable and productive life.
