I have a niece that is 18 months old, and who is suffering from severe developmental issues due to reocurring fits. She is unable to make any movement besides rolling from side-to-side. When laid on her stomach, she is able to lift her head; besides that, she cannot make any movment with her neck whatsoever. Doctors have performed a series of MRI's and lab tests which result in regularity, with the exception of a severe calcium deffiency. She is currently being administered with Phenobarbitol 3 to 4 time a day to prevent her fits. If you have any information or recommendations, I would really appreciate them.

When laid on her stomach, she is able to lift her head slightly. Doctors have performed a series of MRI's and lab tests, most resulting in regularity, with the exception of a severe calcium deffiency. To control her fits, she is administered with Phenobarbitol 3 to 4 times a day. So far, the MRI's have revealed that she has reoccuring fits exclusively on the right side of her brain. We are all very concerned, and if you have any insights, information, or recommendations, I would really appreciate them.
