About Me: Female, 50, La Mirada, CA, member since Jun 2008
I am a happily married mother of 3 boys. We've also been raising my best friends son after her passing from breast cancer 3 years ago.
I had my first issues with kidn
[More]ey stones 6 years ago. I had 4 surgeries in the first year, stents were placed on 3 occasions and after 18 months, the problems stopped. 8 months ago, I got ill again and was hospitalized because both kidneys were infected and new stones had formed. I had 3 surgeries and 3 weeks ago, stents were removed and the stones were blown up. I'm feeling healthy again, the only problems now are that I'm addicted (physically) to the pain meds. I started Suboxone treatment today and I'm looking forward to getting my life back. Most people take their health for granted until they become sick with a major illness.
Other than the issues I've had with my health, life is good and God has blessed our family immensely.
Congratulations! Time for a celebration...9 days! Right on! Thanks for the note the other day. I needed it. my b/f is going through kidney stones and dealing with the county hopsital so that has been a nightmare and 1/2. If I had a handful of pills now I'd take them just to get high. This really sux. And aI did go to the urgent care dr. and he prescribed me Prozac. I really don;t want to start down that road.
But the main reason was to tell you to keep it up and you are doing super great!
Drinkwine was one we photographed! I KNOW! Send me your email and I'll send you a pic that we took. We also got a pic of MR. Hambuger. 80% of my family rest at Fairmount and rest are either in the wind or at Moses Hill in Holdridge, NE.
Your husband can come fish with me any time. I have extra stuff to use and kill the time.
Yes, I was stented once. For a guy this is just not right! Black fishing line hanging out of one's dingie is not of great comfort or dignity.
Thank you for your note... I look forward to hearing from you...
Yes, the tumor seemed to be the buggar. Since I had it removed I've been shy many a stone that I usually would be having. Do you believe in 6 degrees of separation? My son, age 14, came to visit last month and I took him to Fairmount Cemetery to meet his Grandmother's Grave. We drove around the cemetery and I showed him his Great Uncles, Aunts, Great Grand Parents and a few family friends. Then we toured the grounds taking photos of some of the stones and mausoleum's finding fun names and fancy stones...
Just wanted to let you know I can relate. If you ever want to talk, you know where to find me.
