About Me: Female, 60, Salisbury, MD, member since Jun 2008
I love to make rag dolls when I have the time. Love my Yorkie and my two cats. Trying to get my underactive Thyroid under control. But, it is hard to get my doctor to listen to my problem and how I feel.
[More] So I have Finally changed to a new dr. after 2 1/2 years of not feeling much better! Things are going much better now, and my thyroid reading is a lot lower!
"Wow. Your simptoms are sounding exactley like mine. One dosage is too high and the other is too low. The 75mcg makes me hyperthyroid and the 50mcg makes me hypothyroid. I am suppose to alternate doseages each day...and I am so afraid...."
"I too feel so much better not taking the Synthroid. My regular doctor had overmedicated me and cut me back to 75mcg one day (75 is too strong) and 50mcg (50 is too low) every other day. Since I have not had either dose since last Frida..."
That's okay, Linda! In a way, I am new to the thyroid forum, too. When I posted a "Thank you for the support and goodbye" message, since I had begun to have very heavy pressures on my time (which I still do), MedHelp had not yet added all of the features that the forum has now. I am clueless about most of them. High-tech? Not this gal, so no-one ever needs to apologize to me if computer technology is involved.
