About Me: Female, Southampton, United Kingdom, member since Jun 2008
Hi, I have just turned 30 and live in the UK with my wonderful husband of 10yrs & my two beautiful boys. I was diagnosed with Dilated Cardimyopathy & Myocarditis almost 2 years ago after fainting spells & thuds/flutters in my chest. After lots of trips to the G.P & A&E,
[More] 2 holter monitors, chest xrays, numerous blood tests, 2 short stays & 2 longer stays in hosp, I had an Echo which revealed the Dilated Cardiomyopathy & Myocarditis which led to another 3 day stint in hospital. I am taking Bisoprolol & candesartan daily which generally help, although I have my bad days (which drive me mad!) I keep my chin up & my smiles firmly fixed for my two boys aged 7yrs & 2.5yrs.
How are you doing? We have been having a dry, hot few weeks of summer lately, and so some of my heavy chest feelings have lifted a bit, which is nice! Got out and about a bit, socialised for longer than 15mins at a time, and even felt up to doig a little bitof really light exercise. Got humid a couple of days ago though, and so am back to it all being a bit of a struggle. Hope you are doing well.
