I'm praying that you are right and this PT helps. I'm sorry you are so sore after the first session. Hopefully the next won't be as bad. I'm glad you are here so I know what I'm going to go thru at my first appt. with the PT .. LOL .. I'll make up some icicles for use afterward. :) The second opinion doc I saw told me I had pelvic muscle spasms but he didn't tell me the other things, "kegal-like" posture which has caused me tension, spasm, also low back pain and thigh pain" but that's what I've been going thru. He did put me on gabapentin(nerve blocker) and for the first time since surgery I can sit, stand and walk normally with minimal pain. It felt SO good. I can't wait for PT. Maybe with that I can get off the gabapentin and go on with life. Wishing you a pain-free tommorrow ..
Hope you feel better soon!
I am so glad to hear that your doc is finally giving you something for pain. I went to a new doctor for a second opimnion this past monday. He found me to have pelvic floor muscle spasms and put my on gabapentin, a nerve blocker and gave me a prescription for pelvic physical therapy(like you). I hope THIS doctor is right. The first 2 days on the gabapentin I finally got relief. Today I'm very sore and can't sit much again. They tell me this med takes time to get into the system to work right. We shall see. My original doc/surgeon would not believe that I had nerve problems and only wanted to send me to the pain clinic for an epidural steroid injection for a supposed back problem. I hope the PT works for you. Let know.
Keep your chin up!
Hope you feel better soon!
Thanks for answering. I'm sorry I didn't answer sooner but today was a "bad day". I'm so sorry you are going thru this but know that you are not alone sad as that is. Yes, some people reject the mesh and doctors don't listen. We have all heard about slow recoveries. Please think carefully about your decision. No surgery is w/o complications but the longer it remains inside you the more damage it does. It moves around inside going thru bladders and vaginal walls. If you think you feel something not right DEMAND your dr look.
Just wanted to let you know I can relate. If you ever want to talk, you know where to find me.
I am 3 months post-op and am going thru hell. I had to have the tape removed (part still in me) and the pain doesn't stop. If you want to talk I'm here for you because doctors aren't. They don't know or don't care.
