About Me: Female, 50, Collinsville, IL, member since May 2013
I am a mother of 3, I worked at a hospital as a Radiology Technologist,Floor Supervisor, PACS adminstrator, Med-Tech, PI, Super-user on all equip. Did it all. I started working there when I was 21 and moved my way up because I wanted to learn and do all aspects. I loved
[More] my jobs, and yes I did them all at the same time. But sad to say when I got sick I was pushed away. So many things unethical, but they stated unethical yes, but not illegal they checked, yes makes you just want to jump to work there. That was the Radiology Boss and the new so called Personnel Director. My favorite retired after numerous great years of work and dedication to staff and patients and Dr.s It is sad, the people like me who had moved up and made good money seemed to slowly disappear from working there. That is what happens to a Good small/medium place, that cares more for the people, but when any business gets too big, then that is what it is a business. So I waited a year before I filed for disability, I figured they would find it and fix it. But no, so then I had to wait 3 years with no income at all, But my disability has been approved just waiting for some money, I need it so bad, And I went to numerous lawyers about the treatment or lack there of and mistreatment, but the right one came I think too late. But I will keep trying. I was a great worker there. But illness and bad personnel can do whatever and you can do nothing, well not yet, kind of hard when you are sick and scared.
