About Me: Female, 53, Cincinnati, OH, member since Jul 2008
I was diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer, stage 0, in Nov. 07. I had silicone jel emplants in April 08, had to have my right one removed in 5/08. I just went through another surgery removing my overies and fallopian tubes on 7/08. Four surgeries in 8 months, whew, wha
[More]t a time. I thank God I do not have cancer, and am very thankful for life! I am however, left with one emplant unfinished, on my right side, with nothing on my right side, a lot of scar tissue. I still live life to the fullest, and consider myself blessed!
Well so far the only med that helps the pain from Fibro the most to where I only get pain now and again, as before I had it 24/7 is Suboxone. You only have to take it once a day and because of its long half life it stays in your body for a long time,,unlike hydro or percs you have to take every 4-8hrs for pain,,plus all the tylenol intake can cause serious problems.
Suboxone was first used as a narcotic pain medication but soon became a med to wean people off of other opiates. Ive tried everything and so far Sub has been the most effective. Would you like to go narcotic or non-narc for pain relief
