Found out I had HepC in early 2013, was planning on treating right away, since I think I caught this in my early partying years (ex-husband is an addict). Then my partner had a heart attack ( he's only 48) and emergency angina surgery. So I delayed starting tx for a few weeks, till he was recovering from his surgery. Oh man it's been a bad year for illnes on both sides of our families, as aged members are very sick as well. But we will get through this year!
So far I am just tollerating treatment. I am experiencing all the flu symptoms, and anemia issues starting week 3, had to take Eprex and reduce Ribba. Am afraid of any more serious side effects as I want to do this once, but will deal with whatever I am dealt.
Hi Shyrl! How sweet of you to think about me. I haven't forgotten to reply but been busy trying to keep up. I must write a journal entry to update what's been going on. How did the RNA test results go? I still have to get the 6 month test before I'm SVR officially! Having several issues with sleep, noise, light, dry eyes, stairs, and carpel tunnel syndrome. Otherwise, I'm doing pretty well. I agree that I must have gone insane last year. I spend a lot of quiet time at home and enjoy gardening again. The biggest change I've had is my nails. They went through a transformation from dry and brittle to long and flexible, and the ridges disappeared before my eyes! The short term memory is getting slowly better. Still have to think about what day of the week it is. take care!
