I'd bet that the material used for your root canal was Sargenti Paste (aka TCM, RC2B, RC2W, N2, etc.). Its active ingredient is formaldehyde and can have immediate or delayed reaction, one of which is osteomyelitis, turns bone to mush. Do some research Ask ur dentist or endodontist. Ask who did the root canal if they used anything with formaldehyde. Don't ask what they used because this group hides this from their patients & often uses it with gutta percha and when not directly asked about formaldhyde, they will say gutta percha. If it was used, contact an atty.Google "AAE Position paraformaldehyde"
I came across this post while searching for a remedy for my tooth ache. I hope all is well with you now. Your post is almost four years old. I took ibuprofen 3 caplets of 220 mg and cephalexin 500 mg and got some relief after an hour. I also bit into half a clove of garlic with my hurting tooth. I slowly/very gently chewed on it. It is sort of hot and gives a burning sensation but it helps. After a few hours tooth ache returned but I had to wait almost 4 to 5 hours to take another dose of ibuprofen. I bit into another clove of garlic and held it on to the aching tooth, got relief in about 20 minutes. Garlic may help if you have any problem in the future. Please search for more info on garlic.

How do the doctors explain this terrible experience you had. I have been on amoxicilian for 5 days and am still having pain. Scheduled to have tooth pulled Monday and pray it will all work out. Your story is amazing
