I feel sorry for you that you have these terrible problems with your leg. I saw your post about stainless steel on the ovarian cancer board, and I don't want to answer there because it takes space away from the women who are newly diagnosed and may have their posts pushed down before anyone gets a chance to answer. I have an uncle who has stainless rods and screws in his leg from a baseball game injury, and he gets MRI's done without problems. The reason for this is the newer surgical grade stainless steel here is made to be non-magnetic. I don't know where you live as it's not in your profile, but it may have something to do with the steel being used in a different county.
