I have a lot happen to me over the past several years. I was born with my legs and feet turned in, and had to be in casts for the first few months of my life. I have had an extensive history of Otitis Media (ear infections) with ear tubes and many, many years of exten
[More]sive speech therapy.
I grew up on a farm for 10 years of my life. We moved off of the farm after my Dad was hit by a double tractor trailer and broke his neck. My Dad was in halo for several months and is now working over seas as a merchant marine. I am very grateful that my Dad has no other complications.
In my first year of college I found myself in an abusive relationship. I was to scared to come forward and talk to my parents about what I was going through. I regret it now. With the help of two close friends, one of which is now my boyfriend. Last spring of 2012 I also injured my knee and had laparoscopic surgery on my knee. My knee had to be realigned and extra loose tissue was taken out. I am now back to my hiking. Later on in October of 2012 I started having sharp, stabbing pains in my lower abdomen. I have always had cystic ovaries but now the pain was getting worse. After 3 days of pain I was diagnosed with a twisting dermoid cyst. With in 5 days of the pain starting, I had surgery. It was nerve wracking and I was really glad to have my mom by my side. My pain was gone for about 6 months.
I am now in my senior in nursing school. It has been a long journey that is still not at its end. I am now up for having a second laparoscopic procedure due to another dermoid cyst. I hope that this one will be benign as well and will hopefully be my last for the next 20 years.
I just want this surgery over with. I wish that I could have it today and just get rid of this pain!
Ultrasound tomorrow. Hopefully it's all good news but I'm doubting it due to the pain getting worse...
I'm pushing so hard for things in my life and I'm trying to help my boyfriend with issues that are very difficult. I'm hoping that my little sister will be getting up and going this school year!
