Yes it can take over ever moment of your life if you let it. The weird thing is, and i've been dealing with it myself for along time, your basically letting yourself scare yourself if that makes any sense to you. When you get nervous or anxious about something you probablly just set and think about it over and over am I right? I know I do. Thats the problem by you trying to make it go away your actually making it worse. You have to learn to accept your anxious feelings and just let them pass dont try to make them pass or you will as im sure your seeing just become totally exhausted mentally and physically... Is there anything that has happened to you recently that may have kicked this in to overdrive..
Yes it is but it takes time and effort on your part to cure it. GAD is generally a self indused disorder caused by the way you react to different things. You may not even realize your doin it but when you react to somethin in a negative way you create negative feelings. Anxiety is a normal thing (fight or flight) its just how you perceive it that makes you miserable. Change the way you look at a situation, change your mood, eventually youll change your whole outlook on life. Just float through your anxious moments and give it time...
