About Me: Male, 43, Brisbane, Australia, member since Sep 2008
Bipolar Type 2 sufferer since childhood, diagnosed early 20's during severe depressive episode which lasted 3 years, 1 suicide attempt. Now stable, married and medicated after 15 years of ignoring the realities I was faced with them when health and work issues brought
[More] on serious mania and the reality that I was BPII and I had to deal with it now. Suffer from anxiety, rapid cycling, mood swings, anger management issues and hypersexuality as well but at least I still have a sense of humor about these things - if not you just cry and trust me I have done enough of that.
Happy to talk to other people about the disease, active in counselling in support groups for bipolar and will chat where possible. Also have IBS, Reflux and Diverticulitis and had a bowel resection and fistula repaired earlier this year - its all stress related and I have a very high stress load and a very stressful job. I love what I do but its slowly killing me so im changing jobs to a less stressful environment.
