I am on the same amount of effexor. I have never experienced "gut seratonin" but I'm sure I will now since I am hearing about it now - ha! Glad it's only for 5 seconds. I will keep you posted. Anita

I read where you have been taking effexor for 10 years. I didn't know it had been around that long. I just started taking it 7 weeks ago. I am 49, and clinically depressed. Also borderline bi-polar, but my pdoc gives me something else for that. I had been on Prozac, my life saver for 14 years, but my health ins. co. wouldn't let me get the brand name anymore this year, and the generic wasn't doing the trick (or so my mind thought). I like the effexor. I hope it will be my new life saver for the next 10 years. Anita
