Just a quick note to answer one of your last questions. The wire will be secured with tape/bandage so that it will not move until you go to Surgery. Do make it clear that you will need to travel so they are aware that it needs to be secured well. It's a very, very fine wire at that. Best wishes .....
Just a quick note to say hi!
Dear Blueskyabq thankyou so much for the information I was reading the message from Idahogirl with the same diagnoses as mine. I wish you well.
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. No doubt you have seen your Physician and may have the answers to your questions by now .. I believe you were to see him/her on Monday. A BIRAD 4 score means that a suspicious abnormality was found and requires further investigation which is usually a biopsy of some sort. This is a routine next step. Ultrasound and Sonogram are essentially the same type of exam. I would certainly see a Surgeon for an evaluation of your films and follow his/her recommendation. Though we are always entitled to a second opinion they sometimes confuse the issue. I personally would not have questioned the first Radiologist's reading. The reports are always sent to your own Physician and you should get a detailed explanation from him/her.
