No, no, my cyst IS gone completely When it was 4cm it was visible to others. PEI got rid of it, but PEI doesn't work instantaneously, it shrinks the cyst over a period of weeks. Three weeks after the procedure my cyst was gone and is still gone. I'm sure you'll do well. The procedure is easy. Best wishes!
oops, apparently there is a word limit on this thing! Anyway, I hope you have a great experience. If your cyst really starts to bother you, you can always call the new doctor and ask him to move your appointment up. The doctor I saw was very kind and went in an hour early one morning just to see me and do the procedure. I think he was quite happy to take business away from my surgeon, who also happened to be his friend :) Wishing you all the very best!
I'm so glad you will get to see the doctor in Sacramento! that is great news! I had two nodules. One large cystic nodule that was 4cm and a smaller complex nodule on the opposite lobe. they did the PEI on the 4cm cyst. I did have some symptoms as the cyst was growing larger all the time. By the end I could not turn my head to the left without coughing/choking from the cyst pushing on my trachea. I was also having trouble swallowing and felt pressure in my neck all the time. It was such a relief to have it taken care of! Even right after the PEI when there is still swelling and it's still visible it feels so much better because the pressure of the cyst itself is relieved. As far as I know my insurance covered the whole thing minus my copay...unless I suddenly get a bill for it in the future
