About Me: Female, 45, Temecula, CA, member since Sep 2008
I am a wife and a mother. My family is wonderful! I tend to be a very positive person, to the frustration of some at times. I love to cook!! There isn't a lot of things I don't like to do, I love being alive! I love animals. I have two cats, they are wonderful pets.
[More] I have been diagnosed with cerebellar ataxia. My MRI shows that my cerebellum is half the size it should be. Since this is a rare disease, I have been having a difficult time finding information about it. All sorts of things have been happening to me and it is hard to process all this. I try not to let this thing define who I am, it's not. I hope the first thing people see is "me" and not my walker or wheelchair. I have real bad migraines, everyday. I have tried medication and the side effects are worse then dealing with the pain.
I am a very sensitive, compassionate person. I "feel" for everyone who is hurting and in pain. I do feel however that attitude is everything. How you deal with things in your head dictates how you will handle them and how they will effect you.
