People who are hypo t seem to do best, and get the most relief from their symptoms when their free T3 is in the upper third of its range and TSH in the low end of its range. Dr. Lupo gave you the typical Doctor response, and he seems much better than a lot you will run into. You can get an idea for yourself by checking your normal temperature several times a day for several days and comparing the average to the optimal of 98.6. Here is a good link on that .

Sounds like you need to find a good thyroid doc who will test your free T3 and free T4 and medicate yo to get into the levels I mentioned above.
