Just a quick note to say hi! Your the Man that made sense after reading dozens of posts. I have done it the clinic was upset if you ask me I ask to dose down and the councilor would twist her face and say are you sure cause this is against our advise.

Just a quick note to say hi! I am a 26 year old mother of two, i have been addicted to oxycontin and percocets for just about 6 years now. I have tried and tried to quit by myself but somehoe keep giving into temptation, I am supposed to starf methodone this week i was wondering why you say stay away from it?

Thanks for responding to my post a few days ago. I'm also in early recovery. I'm only six months clean! I'm a chronic relapser in love with heroin. I've been in and out of detoxes, rehabs, and 12 step meetings. I'm familiar with the drill. What alarms me is reading about addicts playing doctor by cutting pills, skipping doses or asking strangers on a site how to kick. I tried that w/ Xanax and ended up in the ER w/ seizures. And don't get me started on the opiates! Detox is a critical stage. The detox facilities I hit gave patients information on addiction and baby steps on how to recover. They even had 12 step meetings every night! There is a solution. Keep coming back ;-)
