About Me: Female, 52, Hoquiam, WA, member since Nov 2008
I am the mother of three kids - two grown daughters, one 16 year old son. I home school him because I am now too sick to work. When I did work, I was the Director of Human Resources in "corporate America" and I hated it. Now I run my own company as a designer and I w
[More]ork when I feel well enough, which works out great.
I have two wonderful grandchildren who I don't get to see nearly enough.
I have had migraine headaches now for 30 plus years every day. Not the best way to live my life, I have to admit, but the good thing is that my pain threshold is now pretty high. I try to keep a sense of humor about it, but most days I ask my husband to just cut off my head and I am sure I will feel better!
Enough about that! I have always been an optimistic kind of person, and I hope that will continue. I raise cocker spaniels.
I totally understand your pain and frustration. I have also suffered for 35 years and was recently in an accident and after the 3rd CT scan at a different hospital I was diagnosed with Chiari. MRI in a few days. Good luck
Hi there Joy. Geez you are copping it arent you! I hope this gets sorted out for you. I am feeling really good now. Still some pain around the neck and back of head and down into my shoulders but nothing like before - its just healing and getting better all the time. I started physio last week and thats helped heaps. I have also started HRT and that is helping no end on the emotional side of things - having a chiari surgery and going through menopause at the same time - just cause for suicide!!! (for my husband I mean - lol)
Hope you have a wonderful mothers day and keep on healing and wonderful to hear from you again.
ps did all your little pups go??? :(
