Either you will find the right kitty, or the right kitty will find you. It can't be forced. I made a big mistake back in the 80's. My husband and I went to the pound to find a kitten. I had my mind and heart set on a calico. First tiny kitten we saw was champagne colored. Reaching her little paw towards me, licking my finger, but no, I didn't want THAT one because her eyes were all crusted and running, but next to her was an older kitten who was playing with her tail in her cage. All I saw was 'calico'. Well, Abby was a little crazy, and she never bonded with me. Very aloof kitty. That champagne kitten has haunted me since 1985. I wish I had of chosen the one who chose ME.
