Just a quick note to say hi!
Hi jbuckl ! I've been a non-smoker for over 2 months now without any cravings! You can do this !!! You are not alone .. : )
It took me many tries to finally get past cigarettes. Have you heard of Allen Carr's " The Easy Way To Quit Smoking" ?
That book helped me cognitively view smoking and nicotine in a more realistic way . It helped me dig deep into why I "thought" I wanted to smoke. Among other things, ( mostly cognitive- behaviour training) I was able to kick nicotine out of my life.
Good luck , and welcome here !
I was doing well until yesterday. God I hate alcohol so bad. It is so conniving. I t says oh please take me take me!!!!. Well I only drank 4 beers. I hated the way I felt. But thanks for the encouragement!!!! Good luck on staying of the smokes!!! I think that is harder then alcohol.
I didn't make it the whole day....but I made great progress. I didn't smoke at all during the day at work on my breaks and I hung in until about 8pm and then I caved. So far, today I'm doing good but I'm having trouble going cold turkey. I didn't buy a pack of cigs but I do have a family member that smokes...so that makes it difficult when I get really weak. I won't give up. Thanks!
