I am 55 and have lost control of my thyroid completely and my weight also. I have gained in the last two years, 75 pounds. I also have crushed discs in my broken neck which need operations, and I am too scared to do that. I live in Alaska and it is 20 below zero and
[More] too cold to do much. I need to figure out what to do about my neck so that I can move around and get some weight off. I want to get artificial disc replacement.
Hi It's car1955 I had my disectomy April 2008.I still have other problems chronic migraines,cervical straightening,other pain,but I am still glad I had the surgery.I have titanium C5/6 6/7.I do aqua therapy.I had to take a diability retirement.I really had no choice I was on morphine before the surgery.Good Luck to you.I want to go to Florida in the winter ,even N.Y. is too cold for my arthritis.
I am a 57 yr male..very active..had c5-7 fused last year..got my life back..don't let fear govern your best interest..the surgery is pretty routine..I know 5 guys who have had..all are doing well..good luck
