Note 2.This all started on the 2ndish of this month of I started the meds on the 19th. I've gotten the shingles blood test drawn, but still waitng to hear about those. I have a neurologist appt scheduled in one week, but wondering if I should do anything else in the mean time. I'm really scared.

Hi again, I wanted to also ask you about your hearing back with your first episode. I'm pretty sure I had shingles and never had the rash. I finally convinced a dr to give me valtrex and prendisone. I finished the prendisone today and will finish valtrex this sat. My horrible pain has completely resolved. Hopefully, it will stay that way tomorrow when I don't take the prendisone. The only thing I notice now is that my vision/hearing are off. If I looked at something that was moving, it made me almost flinch. The vision is better, but hearing is still not right. It's like every noise is amplified and overstimulating and my ear hurts a little bit. I noticed you said you had some hearing stuff so wanted to get your opinion.

On the opposite side of the country, Portland. Maybe do a search for one in your area http://www.naturopathic.org/AF_MemberDirectory.asp?version=2 I'm not sure if you've ever seen one before, I've seen two different ones and they were the most caring and understanding health care providers I've come across, I've been a nurse for 10 years. Even if they can't help you 100% with that, it's great to have a doctor actually listens and looks at the whole person and encourages healthy bodies/minds.

I'm not sure when it was. Where do you live? You should try to find a good Naturopath who also does accupuncture.
